Hi! My name is Bitter Kalli and I’m a writer and landworker who creates across mediums including printed matter, soil, and education. In my writing, I am interested in how returning to, and insisting upon, the body can uncover stories about landscape, coloniality, and multispecies kinship. I have a background in arts writing, and much of my work remains animated and inspired by Black visual culture and performance.
In this newsletter you will find essays, musings, and occasional interviews about Black archives, visual culture and media, and land stewardship. You can find me on Instagram, Twitter, or at my website bitterkalli.com.
